Cherry Lime Ginger Ale (Cherry Moscow Mule)
Like a Moscow Mule with added cherry juice, this alcohol free (or not) Cherry Lime Ginger Ale, brings added health benefits and is a taste sensation!
I set out to do this recipe as a fun non-alcoholic beverage. But in the end, I needed the booze—it’s been a long weekend.
Yup, it never hurts to have a drink that works two ways…
It started Saturday morning when (we think) my mother began having a reaction to a new drug and became severely agitated. I got multiple calls from the independent retirement community where she lives, and we ended up first at the emergency room, then finally she was admitted. After a full day of tests and long-distance phone calls I got home around 9 PM. And I was exhausted.
I was tempted to fall into bed, but my husband and I decided to push through and catch the last bit of the wedding we had planned on attending. It was a smart move. Wine, cake, friends and abundant joy/love helped to sooth away the earlier stress of the day. Gotta love friends and a good party!
Today, however, should be much lighter. With the kids headed off to State Fair, it will just be me, my husband and this Cherry Lime Ginger Ale (in Cherry Moscow Mule form) on the patio!
Now this is a drink that is born partly of necessity but even more from my love for tart cherry juice. You see, according to Men’s Journal, “researchers also found that tart cherries have the ‘highest anti-inflammatory content of any food,’ more than other antioxidant-rich foods like blueberries and pomegranates.” Skip the alcohol and it’s positively health food! Yes, I do love my tart cherry juice.
Some days more than others…

I love cherries, but seems they are seasonal, so I found the tart cherry juice concentrate. I am using it to reduce uric acid levels, and for all the other health benefits, and I just love the taste of it with pink lemonade and crushed ice. An awesome way to cool off
I’ll have to try it with pink lemonade too!
“in the end, i needed the booze”–ha! been there, my friend! this sounds delicious and fun!
My husband was on a cherry juice before bedtime routine for a while. It is supposed to help you sleep (although he has no problem with sleeping soundly). LOL! This drinks sounds wonderful! I too would love to sit on the patio with a glass or two!!
You are welcome on my patio anytime Thao!
I also love tart cherry juice! I started drinking it when I was having a slight problem with my uric acid account (gout). It made a huge difference, and I discovered how much I like it! I have never had a Moscow mule, but your version sounds perfect!
this looks beautiful and delicious ! I love cherries!
